MCP server FAQ
Which AI assistants work with the GymFit MCP server?
Claude (web, desktop and mobile) and ChatGPT connect with your GymFit account. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and the other MCP clients connect with your API key.
How is the MCP server billed?
Like the API: each tool call counts as one request of your plan, and reading your usage is free. The free plan gives 1,000 requests a month, with no credit card.
Can the assistant change my account or my data?
No. The tools only read the exercise catalog, run the calculators and read your usage. You can disconnect an assistant at any time from your dashboard.
Do I need to write code?
No for Claude and ChatGPT: add a custom connector with the URL and sign in. For Claude Code or Cursor, one command or one line of configuration.
